Price alone lies: a big move on light volume is strong demand; a tiny move on huge volume is fading demand (someone’s absorbing it). LadenBearing reads that real buying/selling pressure with a bounded Demand Index, takes direction the moment it flips across zero, and only acts when a RAVI trend-check confirms the market is genuinely running — not grinding sideways.

Three building blocks
📈 Demand Index (Sibbet)
For each bar it asks: how much price move did this volume actually buy? It splits volume into buying vs selling pressure and forms a bounded demand line. Its zero-cross is where supply/demand flips — both timing and direction.
🧭 RAVI trend check
The % gap between a fast and a slow average. Wide gap = a real trend (board); tight gap = sideways grind (stand aside). It measures trend strength only, not direction — direction comes from the Demand Index.
⚙️ ATR activity / risk
Skip dead-calm hours where volatility is below its recent floor; after entry, ATR sizes the stop and target and fixes lot size to a set risk percentage.
⚓ Calm cadence
One position at a time, a built-in daily cap (default 10), and a watchdog that alerts after several idle days so an over-tight filter can’t fail silently.

Step by step
- Direction & timing — Demand Index crosses above 0 → look up; below 0 → look down.
- Trend check — only when RAVI ≥ threshold (a genuine trend, not chop).
- Activity gate — only when ATR is above its recent floor.
- Entry & risk — enter with the move; stop = entry ± 1.5×ATR; target = 1.8× the stop distance.
